So yesterday evening, I recieved a fabulous package in the mail...

Two new necklaces & some funky colored safety pins from the wonderful Jules13art!

Ah, I love my new necklaces!

I'll have to post a picture of myself wearing them later!

Anywho...I've started on the bottle cap jewelry, I just haven't posted anything...yet!

It's all coming very soon & I'm sorry for the delay of new items, I'm just a busy lady.

I really don't have much in the way of news, but the boyfriend stepped on my box of seed beads yesterday and now they're everywhere.

Ohhh that'll be fun :]

Bummed.

So today, I am definitely a little more than bummed out.

I had made a sale to this girl I knew when I was a kid & waited at least three weeks for her to send payment, so I sent her a message asking if she still wanted her order.

Apparently she wanted to cancel, but she never said anything to me before about it.

I'm sorry, but I find that a little more than slightly rude.

Three weeks?!

That's pretty long if you're trying to buy something from someone.

Ugh...that really sucks.

Anyways...I got paid today, so I'll be off to the craft stores to buy some supplies, but right now I'm wondering if its even worth it.

A lot of people say that they like my shop & I have a decent amount of hearts, but no one ever buys from me.

I sort of feel rejected.

Maybe its just one of those days...?

I really hope so because I'm feeling a little more than slightly discouraged.

Jewelry Parties?

I've heard of things such as candle parties, but I've never heard of a jewelry party.

Just Observing.

So there's this big thread going on Etsy (started by me, oddly enough) about Handmade Fuzion.

I just wanted to say that I was denied to see how many other artisans out there had been denied and it sounds like it's getting into something of a debate.

Some are saying that it's discrimination that all of us fabulous crafters have been denied and then some are saying that we've been denied for saying bad things about the site because the creators do read our forums.

I just wanted to say that I was denied and that I dont like the way the site is laid out.

I'm reading what people are saying, but I'm staying out of the argumentative part of everything.

It's interesting to read everyone's opinions of the site.

Me, personally?

Not much of a fan, but like in forums, we all have our own opinions about things.

Dun Dun Dun...

So I went & checked my email not so long ago to see that I had recieved an email from a new up & coming site called Handmade Fuzion.

First of all, please make a note that I HATE the spelling here of the word "fuzion."

I feel like I have to pronounce the "z."

Anyways...I recieved an email saying something to the effect that they're sorry that they could not accept my application at this time, decisions are not based soley on pictures, sorry about the impersonal email, blah, blah, blah.

Whaaatever.

Jerks.

It seems like they've denied a lot of applicants for no apparent reason as they were all really awesome crafters.

I suppose they can't see greatness, even when it's punching them in the neck.

*sigh*

Anyways...I think I'm going to redo my pictures tomorrow as I've just been critiqued on them again.

I might as well, I've got nothing else to do.

I'll just take everything to work with me & do them on my lunch :]

The Weekend

I didn't get much done this weekend like I should have.

I guess I was just too much on the go or what have you.

I didn't spend much time on the internet or at home.

BUT...I've promised that I will have new things up this week, and I'll keep my promise, there will definitely be some new things up this week.

I need to go supply/organizer shopping, though.

Ugh...so much to do...

I was sitting here this morning, looking at my little etsy shop & myspace page and then going on other peoples' shops & pages & it got me thinking about what kind of things people REALLY like to see or buy.

I get a fair amount of views and all, but not as many sales as I'd like, so I want to know...what kinds of things are people interested in?

Oh How I Love...

I love my loyal friends & customers.

I really do.

They're so fabulous.

My good friend, Summersette is coming by today for a necklace & to bring bottle caps which I'm very excited about working with.

Things kind of suck right now, though, because I used to have all of my jewelry in this clear plastic bag thing because I took it all with me on a photoshoot & now I can't find it.

At all.

I cleaned my room and then *poof* nothing.

I'm so upset.

I keep everything I made that was in there listed, though, because I can always re-make it, but that was a lot of hard work and now it's just...not there anymore and I have nothing to show for it.

So frusterating, but I'll work on things this weekend because Nick (the boyfriend) has to work all weekend long and I'll have plenty of time for myself to work on some fabulous pieces.

I'm going to see if I can make a trip over to the craft store this weekend, but that'll probably have to wait until NEXT weekend because I'm totally broke right now.

Someone put in an order about a week and a half ago on my myspace shop and now I'm just waiting for her to send me the money.

I wish more people would make more orders so I can have that money to spend on supplies to make more jewelry and/or bows.

Oh well, I guess I have to be patient.

Number One!

Hey everyone!

Alright, I know I just signed up with Livejournal, but I figured Blogger would be better considering I could add my own banners and really customize it to look the way that would represent me best.

I'll try to see if I can transfer posts from my livejournal to this blog, but we'll have to see.

First of all, I have good news!

My boyfriend's grandpa knows a lady who owns a shop over by the pier where I live and I guess he was telling her about my little shop and she asked for my card and is really interested in buying my jewelry & shirts & things to sell in her shop!

That's awesome and I'm so excited!

Also, I'm going to be making a ton of little samples to send in to the little black box.

I have lots of projects to work on and I can't wait.

I ordered these cute little charms to make more jewelry, which I'll be working on tonight and I bought a bunch of bottle caps from this guy in Montanna?

I dunno, wherever MO is?

I sound dumb saying that, haha, but oh well.

And my good friend, Summersette is bringing me some bottle caps, also.

Second, in reference to new items, as I said above, I'll be working on new jewelry tonight and samples and such, but I'll also be working on a big line of Halloween bows and some keychains, lockets, and other really unique & individual items.

They'll be different from what I normally make, but hey, different can be good!

Hopefully it'll encourage people to buy more and get more people interested in my little shop.

Speaking of getting more people interested in my little shop, the third thing I'm going to be working on is redoing my descriptions, my banners, and my pictures of my items.

Everything will look 10x better and it'll be more interesting to look at.

Hopefully I can make a new myspace layout, as well.

Not only that, but I'll be working on getting my own domain name and then I'll just write blogs, showcases, and post informative threads there.

I'll keep everyone posted with that.

Other than that not much is new around here, I'm just working hard and trying to get everything organized.
